In October 2022, the European Commission published its Work Programme for the year 2023. Adopted on a yearly basis, this document sets out the European Commission’s political commitment to start new initiatives, review European legislations, or withdraw pending proposals.
The 2023 Work Programme is also of great interest for all actors in Europe to understand the future developments and opportunities for their actions, including stakeholders operating in mountain value chains.
The table below summarises the most relevant items of the European Commission’s Work Programme for mountain value chains and MOVING project:
The European Commission will present its Work Programme for the year 2023 to the European Parliament and other institutional partners. Then, the Commission, the European Parliament and the Council establish a Joint Declaration on the EU’s legislative priorities.
MOVING will closely follow these processes and their impacts on mountain value chains.
