Young professionals are vital to conserve Europe’s natural heritage. Under this belief, each year the EUROPARC Federation, with support from the Alfred Toepfer Stiftung F.V.S., awards three Alfred Toepfer Natural Heritage Scholarships to promising young professionals, who are committed to working for the benefit of Natural Protected Areas.
These scholarships offer financial support to individuals for a study visit to Protected Areas in another European country. These experiences will be both of benefit for the future career of selected participants and to the EUROPARC Federation and its members.
The aim of this programme is to enhance cross-national cooperation to advance the quality, innovation and the management of Natural Protected Areas in Europe.
The call for the Alfred Toepfer Natural Heritage Scholarship 2023 is open until the 1st of May 2023. Candidates must be under 35 and currently employed by a European Protected Area or a nature conservation institution, administration, organisation or environmental NGO in a European country.
