Policy Briefs

First set of PBs: One for each of the 23 Reference Regions

The first set of 23 Policy Briefs (PBs) have been compiled building on the information collected in WP4 activities, task 4.1 “Inventory of Mountain Value Chains”, and through consultation with the regional Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs) in each case study region.

Each PB includes the description of the Mountain Reference Region (MRR), the value chain (VC) contribution to sustainability and resilience of the region, some innovation components of the VC and a number of policy relevant considerations.

Second set of PBs: One for each cluster

The second set of 5 Policy Briefs (PBs) have been compiled based on the information gathered during the activities in WP5 with the MOVING clusters (Cluster S: Social and Demographic aspects; Cluster V: Value and Quality products; Cluster I: Innovation and Infrastructures; Cluster N: Nature and Ecosystem Services; and Cluster G: Governance, Cooperation and Territoriality), task 5.3 “Comparative assesment report on Mountain Value Chains”.

Each PB includes the main outcomes of each cluster. The aim is to raise awareness about the goods provided by mountainous areas and to guide evidence-based decisions.

Third set of PBs: Policy issues relevant for the 23 value chains

The final set of 23 Policy Briefs (PBs) has been compiled based on the information gathered during all the activities carried out throughout the project’s lifetime. These briefs summarise the knowledge and experiences collected regarding past policies in the VC and the MRR. They also reflect on policies analysed in the VCs and the foresight exercises.

Each PB includes the context and the case-study of the value chains in line with the MOVING objectives, policy experiences, and policy recommendations.
